Good I am actually making an effort to update this thing. Anyway, Friday evening I went to see Get Smart in Times Square. It still baffles my brain as to why there are so many ghetto people in Times Square all the time. It seems like the opposite would be true. Anyway the movie was hilarious, and I quite enjoyed it. Afterwards, however, on a jumbo screen there was something else to laugh about. The following pictures go to show you how amazing Microsoft software is.

It is pretty crazy to think that there are airplanes and mobile medical devices powered by the same software. I could go on a rant here about how much I despise Microsoft, but I will save that for another time. I should say, however, that if anyone is looking for an alternative to Microsoft Office, Apple's iWork is only $79 and completely destroys Microsoft Office. It is like Mike Tyson fighting against a 10-year-old, deaf, blind, mentally challenged child with asthma. The same could also be said about Mac OS X vs. Windows XP or Vista, the iPod vs. the Zune, and the iPhone vs. Windows Mobile. Anyway do take a look at these pictures...

I hope everyone gets a good kick out of that

Again many things have occured, and I have neglected to put my pen against this pad of paper that is the internet. I don't know where to start. Perhaps with the fact that I graduated college and finished cum laude. No more papers to write!

Also my most recent freelance project launched back in mid April and that is act-i-vate comix. The site has been really popular. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to make statistics public or not, but the individual comic page views since the launch is approaching half a million. If that is not impressive on its own then perhaps the fact that the site was featured in The New York Times on April 19th. Here is a clipping from the paper (or you can view the article online):

I have begun working as a Software Developer Intern at a company called Schematic. It has been going well, and hopefully at the end of the summer I can work there full time. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm sure there are other things that I am forgetting, but if they come to me I will write them

I would say that three months passing probably means it is time for me to update this thing. I don't know why my fingers frequently forget to fashion fantastic phrases. There was a time a few months back where I wrote five songs over the course of one week. Three months later it appears this was just some anomaly in the course of my being and regrettably will not be repeated any time in the near future. I have become so focused on work that I have not really had time to spend playing music which is bad in itself, but also bad in the sense that I have become so focused on other areas that I have almost lost touch with music.

My band is at work recording our new album. It is coming along pretty well, and I think it will turn out quite awesome when all is said and done. I am proud of it, but at the same time, these songs were written so long ago and most of them not by me so I don't feel a real strong connection with the music. They are great songs and I enjoy playing them, but I want to do something that is really meaningful to me.

I just bought the book, "Here, There, and Everywhere", by Geoff Emerick. This man was 18 years old when he was asked to be The Beatles lead recording engineer. He was also the reason for so much of their studio expirimentation in the later years. Many of the recording practices today that we take for granted were invented by him. This wasn't all an accident, of course. Geoff Emerick is coming to speak in New York City this coming Thursday, and I am going to be attending. I am very excited about this; hopefully it will teach me quite a bit.

School has become somewhat of an afterthought for me which is fine because I am basically done. Cello lessons are useful, and my Electronic Music Performance class is also quite interesting. I just don't know how I feel about being done. There is so much more I feel like I could have/should have done while I was in school, but I mean I can always go to grad school I suppose.

Each of my friends has no idea about his/her future at this point, and I am included in that. It looks like people close to me could be moving as far away as India, and I don't want to leave New York at least not yet. This leaves me in a pretty strange position. I have a potential internship at a company where my friend works, and I'm hopeful that that could transform into a full time job after the summmer is over. I also have work that I am doing currently that I would love to continue. I suppose I am lucky to have a skill in something that is so desireable in this day and age. I just feel so unsure about a lot of things, but I suppose that is normal at this time in my life.

In other news, I am graduating from NYU with honors according to a letter I received from the president of the university, John Sexton. That means I get to wear something special on my graduation cap I think.

Well that was quite a bit of writing. Took me thirty minutes to tie these thoughts together. Maybe I can try to make an effort to do this more often.

It feels so weird to write '2008' for the year, but I guess that is not uncommon for the first few weeks in January. I didn't write a word about anything in the last month ish, but I was in California for a little while over break visiting my friend, and it was pretty fantastic. I think I can only live in New York City or someplace in California. That brings me to my next point...

The state pictured above is where I am located at the moment. I am stretched out on a couch with a television screaming at me while my fingers collide with aluminum keys on my computer keyboard. i don't know what the person who created this state was thinking because it is more boring than watching old people race in retirement homes with walkers. I can't wait to make the journey back to New York. Luckily, I don't have to wait too long.

In other news, I was finally able to obtain both records by the band Jellyfish which I have longed after for sometime. Listening to them is quite spectacular. In addition I decided to go back through this nonsense and capitalize words that desire to be so.

Wow... second update in two days... a new world record. I just wanted to share with the two people who read this a picture of my newly crafted glockenspiel for my acoustics class. It actually sounds quite awesome.

Hello there. I am terrible at updating my blog, but that is no secret. Anyway I just wanted to let you all know that I wrote a musical. Or rather, I wrote music for someone else's musical/play. It is titled 'american breakfast'.

It is going to be performed this coming Friday, December 14 at 8pm and Saturday, December 15 (also my birthday) at 2pm and 8pm. Sadly, tickets are all reserved so the only shot you have of getting tickets is to show up at the door about a half hour before the performance and hope that not everyone who reserved tickets shows up.

This is all quite awesome, and I'm really excited to be a part of this... check out the flyer below for more information.

Greetings from mars, earthlings. Originally I was going to be Trent from Daria for halloween, but no one knew who I was so I recycled my friend's costume and became ziggy stardust David Bowie. After attending a hipster party I learned that hipsters have to either be David Bowie or Where's Waldo for Halloween. I'm not saying I am a hipster, but that was quite an interesting discovery.

PS I'm really proud of myself for taking the time to update this site. I got a dvd of Bruce Springsteen Live in Hammersmith Odeon 1975 and am watching it now. It is pretty fantastic. I also decided I might be able to pull off the boss's look from that era... look at this photograph from Rolling Stone...

Alright. So I finally found time to finish this site or at least come close. The new design is a zillion times better than the old one. I will post more meaningful things on here soon, but right now I have to get to sleep as I do have class in 8 hours.

So I have to think of a way to get people to actually comment on this thing haha. Anyway last night we had a barbeque on my roof using a very ghetto grill that cost a total of 5 dollars. I can't believe I have never been up on my roof before... it is quite awesome.

In other news due to will and my lack of proper planning abilities our band rehearsal on Thursday is now at 10 pm - 1 am. oh well, it will be fine for this time, and in the future we will be better about this.

All right! This blog is now complete and anyone can leave comments on it. I have it set so that all posts go with the date they were posted so when you post a comment it goes with anything written during the course of that day.

2:49 am

This is just another test... my programming skills are getting quite good it looks like. I think i am going to try to build a whole comment section like a real blog.

Hello there. I am working on redesigning this entire site. The old design sucks ass and I didn't really know that much about web design/development back then.

For anyone who cares this site is now all done using css and therefore it is pretty sweet. I will try to find a way to work some of my other programming skills into this as well.
